Home office

Work, then switch off

Why choose a fitted office?

A fitted home office turns a spare room, an alcove or half a bedroom into somewhere you can actually work, with the desk at the right height and the cables out of sight. Because it's built to the wall, it holds far more than freestanding furniture in the same footprint.

The same slab and shaker doors from our kitchen and bedroom collections carry through, so the office matches the rest of the house instead of looking like an afterthought.

Styling notes from our designers

Plan the desk around daylight rather than the biggest wall, and put the printer and paperwork behind doors so the room switches off at the end of the day. A fold-away bed alongside keeps the guest room honest.

Strada in graphite and porcelain is a favourite for offices, its flat doors reading as calm panelling once the laptop lid closes.

If you're not sure the room can take it, that's exactly what the free design visit is for. Your designer measures up and shows you what fits before you commit to anything.

Your questions answered

Can a home office share a room with a guest bed?

Often, and it works well. A fold-away bed can build into the same run as the desk and storage, so the room does both jobs without looking like a compromise.

Do office fit-outs use the same materials as your kitchens?

Yes. The doors, carcasses and finishes come out of the same West Midlands factory, which is why a fitted office here matches the rest of the house so well.
